Teaching founders to sit out the leading questions
Founders belong in debriefs, not always on the live call. When they do join, assign them silent observation with a shared note channel so probes stay with the trained facilitator.
If a founder must speak, script a single closing prompt that invites advice to a peer. That keeps social pressure off the participant while still giving founders a window into language.
Rotate who owns the closing so product, marketing, and design each hear raw talk quarterly. The rotation prevents any single function from becoming the "voice of the customer."
